Duplex Rooms
Duplex rooms at the Xara Palace make full use of the original high ceilings to create split-level areas, separating sleeping and living quarters. These charming gems, each classically styled and beautifully restored, feature luxurious marble clad bathrooms and comfortable seating areas.
Deluxe Room with Panoramic View
This uniquely designed accommodation is set into the bastion fortifications and boasts simply stunning panoramic views of the entire island of Malta. This charming room features a luxurious bedroom and comfortable seating area. The rich soft furnishings that adorn this room are welcoming and relaxing, with a colour palette that purposely evokes the hot and sun-drenched summers of the Mediterranean.
Unique to this room is a doorway set inside the bastion walls. Open the doorway and step into the footsteps of our forefathers, while enjoying breathtaking views of the island.
Duplex Suites
These beautifully restored suites form part of the palazzo’s Piano Nobile, were they were originally used as reception rooms for the Moscati Parisio family for whom this wonderful Palazzo was built.
Making excellent use of the high ceilings to allow for a specially designed spiral staircase to be used to create a split level suite, the bedroom space on the upper level is kept entirely separate from the luxurious sitting room beneath.
These suites have all been individually designed and tastefully decorated to reflect the grandeur of the Palazzo and feature restful and calming tonalities of green with rich jewel tones.
These suites have the possibility to be interconnected and the luxurious sitting room can also be transformed into a private dining area.
Deluxe Suite with Panoramic View
Upon setting foot in one of the Deluxe Suites with Panoramic View, it becomes instantly apparent why these are the most sought after rooms at the Xara Palace - set directly into the bastion fortifications surrounding Mdina, these suites enjoy a truly remarkable, unhindered, breath-taking view of Malta.
Each of these deluxe suites is unique in its own way, all retaining the original features of the Palazzo and set on a single level, providing a spacious and light-filled luxury seating area, with a restful palette of colours used to decorate these accommodations in style.
One of these suites even boasts a private dining area and a private balcony overlooking the main piazza, used from the 17th century by the Town Crier to announce proclamations from the authorities.

From its balcony, typical of palazzos built in the 17th century, one can enjoy the majestic building of The Vilhena Palace – a building which once housed the Law Courts in the time of the knights.
