Overview
The Radisson Blu Resort & Spa Golden Sands is the most exclusive five star resort & spa in Malta. Brilliantly located on the edge of a cliff overlooking the unique Golden Bay, the resort offers an unforgettable experience with breathtaking sea and country views. The location commands one of the best sites on the Island of Malta, and is only a short drive northwards to the ferryboat that connects to Gozo, Malta’s sister island.
Rooms and Suites
The rooms at the Golden Sands form part of five collections: Luxury Presidential Suites, Luxury Penthouses including a private pool belonging to the Heavenly Collection, the spacious 90 square metre suites forming the the Double Dream Collection, the Zenith suites collection and finally the De Luxe rooms encompassed in the Serene collection. Rooms enjoy a fantastic view of Golden Bay and the Mediterranean Sea or overlook the beautiful green countryside of this Northern side of the Island. The rooms have all been designed to be extremely spacious and are in fact the largest five star rooms on the Island. All rooms are tastefully furnished to a very high standard and in room facilities include all the comforts expected of a five star resort of this calibre, to meet the refined tastes of leisure and business travelers alike. Luxurious bathrooms finished in marble and granite complement the rooms.
Dinning
Guests are spoilt for choice with an array of restaurants offering a variety of cuisines. The traditional Radisson Blu Super Buffet breakfast is served in the main restaurant, Flavours, which overlooks the pool area. The top end a la carte restaurant, Essence, offers among finest cuisine on the Island satisfying the finest gourmet, whilst the more casual Agliolio is open for lunch and dinner serving pizza, pasta and grills. The Lagoon Bar & Restaurant offers a number of delicious snacks by the pool. Beverage outlets are also numerous, and include Dunes cocktail bar overlooking a breathtaking view of the bay, the elegant lobby bar Swizzles, and Mokka Bar a more relaxed setting adjacent to the main restaurant, a beach side bar and two pool bars. Of course, various relaxation areas are found all over the Resort both internally and externally.
Leisure facilities
The hotel has extensive leisure facilities for guests’ enjoyment. The 1,000 square metre Spa and Leisure Centre offer breathtaking views through its open glass windows directly overlooking the bay instilling a sense of peace and tranquillity. It include a Fitness Centre, an indoor heated pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam rooms, hairdressing salon. The Ayurvedic Centre offers a plethora of treatments to restore and refresh your senses.
Four pools, including one large outdoor swimming pool and a 90 metre lagoon pool, a children’s pool and an indoor pool are all located on site. The golden sandy beach below the hotel is easily accessible directly from the hotel grounds. Additionally, the Radisson has its own private sandy beach, fully serviced by the hotel’s personnel. The Resort also offers extensive landscaped gardens and terraces suitable for guests wanting to relax on the hotel grounds. A Tennis court is also available for the more active and horse riding is available for the more adventurous. A full range of water sports as well as a diving centre will also be located within the private beach facilities of the Hotel.
