Financial Incentives for Organizing a Conference in Malta
Malta entered the euro zone in May 2004, and adopted the euro as the country's currency in January 2008. This has allowed for ease of negotiation and trading between local DMCs and European event organisers, as well for European delegates visiting the island.
The Maltese Government provides a VAT reclamation system, for foreign organisers that choose Malta as a destination for their event. VAT percentages are currently set at 7% on accommodation and 18% on other event services. Business related services are generally eligible for VAT refund, social and leisure related services within an event programme are generally ineligible for VAT refund.
Culture3sixty provides the added service of assistance with the reclamation of VAT to our clients.
Although we are a small company, we take our responsibility to protect the environment and to promoting Responsible Tourism seriously. We are committed to maximising the benefits of tourism whilst continuously minimizing the impact our activities have on the environment. We also strive to protect the social, cultural and economic aspects of the areas that our guests visit.
Culture3sixty is committed to the proactive management and effective control of the environmental impact of its activities and aims to make a positive contribution to the environment through a number of strategic initiatives:
We adopt a strict reduce, reuse and recycle policy wherever and whenever possible.  Furthermore all our batteries are rechargeable, energy savings bulbs are mandatory, and recycled paper is used for all printed stationery. We operate out of an office that has double glazing, collects rain water and operates on renewable energy, which is generated on site.
As much as possible we strive to mitigate the carbon footprint that is created by each visitor to our islands. In this regard, we make a small donation towards the planting of trees in the tree4U campaign for every booking we receive.
Environmental issues are increasingly significant to our company, whether working with contractors whose values resonate with ours and our clients’ and encouraging initiatives such as carbon reduction, or with our own team looking for innovative ways to improve our own green credentials.
